TALOS has published the final agenda for its Final Event, taking place on 24 September 2026 at EDP Headquarters (Sede I, Auditório) in Lisbon, Portugal. The event, open to both on-site and online audiences, will bring together the consortium, Open Call innovators, policymakers, and the wider solar energy community to mark the conclusion of the Horizon Europe project three years after it set out to prove that autonomous systems are ready to take on operations and maintenance (O&M) across Europe’s fast-growing solar fleet.

At the heart of the day will be the presentation of results from TALOS’s three pilot scenarios, land-based (ground-mounted) PV at Villacastín, Spain; floating PV at Alqueva and Alto Rabagão, Portugal; and agrivoltaic PV at Randwijk, the Netherlands, each demonstrating a distinct fleet of robots, sensors, AI tools and platform built by the consortium and by the SMEs and startups recruited through TALOS’s Open Call. Sessions will walk through what was built, what was tested, and what was learned at each site, followed by a discussion of the key insights emerging across the three scenarios: where robotic and AI-driven O&M is ready to scale, and where the technology has run ahead of the rules built around it.

The event will also serve as the launchpad for some of the project’s core outputs. A set of training and technical briefs will detail the TALOS platform’s building blocks, from data intelligence and monitoring through AI-based recommendations, autonomous mission planning, robotic mission execution, human-robot interaction, and continuous improvement, distilling three years of engineering into guidance that other operators and developers can act on. Alongside it, TALOS’s policy brief will be presented, setting out the regulatory barriers identified across the three pilot contexts and a set of concrete recommendations for EU and national policymakers on how to close them.
