On 3 April 2025, the TALOS project will host a virtual Welcome Event to officially kick off its Support Programme, bringing together the twelve third-party projects selected through its highly competitive Open Call. The event will mark the beginning of a nine-month journey of collaboration, technical guidance, and innovation aimed at transforming operations and maintenance in photovoltaic (PV) systems through robotics and AI.
The session will open with a welcome and an introduction to the TALOS project by the project coordinator, Daniel Albuquerque, followed by an overview of the Support Programme led by the EDP team. FundingBox, responsible for financial and administrative aspects, will provide key information on milestone reviews and payment procedures.
Each of the twelve selected third-party projects will deliver a brief three-minute presentation, introducing the solutions they will develop under the TALOS umbrella. These proposals—ranging from autonomous drones for visual inspections to underwater mooring analysis and vegetation control robots—will be tested across three pilot environments: AgriPV, Floating PV, and Land-Based PV.
The selected projects are:
- Adaptronics s.r.l. (Italy) – FRUITURE
- Mercury Retrograde LDA (Portugal) – CLARO XR
- Aerial Tools ApS (Denmark) – BVLOS RAISI
- iKnowHow SA (Greece) – ARAVI
- UAB Rediga (Lithuania) – PVgrow
- Indymo B.V. (Netherlands) – MooringScout
- Presence XR Solutions S.L. (Spain) – TERRA
- Plegma Labs Technologikes Lyseis Anonymos Etairia (Greece) – ATHINA
- Space Mobility P.C. (Greece) – PERCEIVE
- Vertliner P.C. (Greece) – EL-INSPECT
- Amigo S.r.l. (Italy) – SUNNY
- Xilbi Sistemas de Información SL (Spain) – EXPERT
With a total funding envelope of EUR 1.8 million, the TALOS Support Programme will offer financial support, expert mentoring, access to test sites, and guidance on exploitation strategies. During the event, project teams will also be introduced to their assigned mentors to initiate collaboration, and the dissemination and exploitation opportunities available.
The Welcome Event will close with a Q&A session, providing space for clarification and dialogue before the implementation phase begins. As the programme prepares to launch, TALOS reaffirms its mission to deliver autonomous, safety-enhancing, and efficient O&M solutions for the PV sector.
