On November 4-5, 2024, TALOS was represented at the AI, Data, and Robotics Forum (ADRF24) in Eindhoven, Netherlands, by key partners Antonio Montalvo from FundingBox and João Formiga from EDP. This annual event, organised by the AI, Data, and Robotics Association (Adra) in collaboration with the European Commission, focuses on advancing European leadership and innovation in AI, data, and robotics under the theme “European Sovereignty in AI, Data, and Robotics.”
João Formiga participated as a speaker in the session titled “Harnessing AI, Data, and Robotics for Scientific Advancement – Thematic Applications of AI.” Reflecting on the event, he shared, “ADRF2024 – The European AI, Data, Robotics Forum (ADRF) is the annual community gathering event organised by the AI, Data and Robotics Association (Adra) in collaboration with the European Commission to inspire and advance European ADR in its broadest context, including Industry, Research, and Policymakers. I’ve participated as a speaker in the session ‘Harnessing AI, Data, and Robotics for Scientific Advancement – Thematic Applications of AI’ where I presented two European projects we are coordinating (TALOS and ROMAIN), focused on the usage of AI and robotics in specific use cases for renewable energy.”
Antonio Montalvo hosted a workshop titled “Harnessing ADR Tech Transfer through FSTP and EDIHs,” which addressed the role of Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) in driving innovation in AI, Data, and Robotics. The session provided insights into how FSTP can facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer across European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) and support broader initiatives to integrate TALOS with other AI and robotics networks.
Through this event, TALOS actively pursued collaboration opportunities with related initiatives, aiming to:
- Cohesion activities with ADRA and other funded initiatives.
- Connections with European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs).
- Building links with broader AI, Data, and Robotics networks.
- Opportunities for integrating with emerging data platforms.
TALOS’s involvement at ADRF24 fostered valuable discussions and partnerships, aligning with its mission to enhance Europe’s technological capabilities and advance sustainable solutions in renewable energy.
